History

International Business School Americas, the business school of Americas International College, started its operations in Brazil in 2003 offering courses and university extension projects. Established as a non-profit Educational Association, it has campuses in the United States and Brazil, in addition to the campuses of partner institutions in the United States and Europe where face-to-face courses are offered to our students.

With content and formatting tailored to the needs of students of different nationalities, intensive short-term face-to-face programs attract students from all over the world. In 2021, we hosted enrollments from more than 2,500 students from 120 countries, interested in courses offered in English in the United States (California and New York), Europe (United Kingdom and Italy) and Brazil (AIC Paulista Campus). International online programs in English attracted more than 140,000 students from around the world in 2020, while the programs offered in Portuguese served more than 300,000 participants in 2021.

To foster the access of students with high academic potential to the programs, IBS Americas seeks partnerships with public and private funding institutions in Brazil and abroad. More than 90% of our students are partial scholarships, enjoying a higher quality education, with professors and students from all over the world, and being able to leverage their careers and transform their lives and their communities.

Praxian - Research Center

In addition to teaching, the AIC has a strong vocation in research. Through Praxian, IBS Americas' department of applied social research, we have developed hundreds of projects over 15 years of operations. These research and consulting efforts meet the needs of our faculty and public and private organizations in Brazil and abroad, involving the work of more than 900 employees in 2019. Such research takes place under the coordination of our project board or in specialized research centers, today dedicated to areas such as Sustainability, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Project Management and Technology.

In April 2022, the Brazilian Ministry of Education accredited Americas International College as a higher education institution, authorized to offer undergraduate, bachelor and graduate programs. The 2023/2024 entrance exam provides for the offering of 4 Bachelor's degree programs, in the areas of Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, and International Relations. Each of these areas will offer a set of Graduate and Short Term Undergraduate (Technologist) programs under the guidance of the Course Directors. Students in the Undergraduate and Graduate programs will have most of the face-to-face classes on the Paulista Campus, and may also take courses on the Florida Campus, obtaining a diploma recognized by the MEC of Brazil.

In line with the new forms of communication, supported by digital platforms, IBS Americas has a prominent presence on Linkedin, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram, in addition to the website blog, subscriber newsletter and Americas Business Review magazine, serving hundreds of thousands of members of our global university community. From the Paulista campus web-tv studio, our digital content team, in coordination with dozens of digital influencers, produces hundreds of posts monthly to mark IBS Americas' presence on the various digital platforms.
